M/s Central Engineering Works, the principal firm, was established in 1933. Small engineering business was being done.

In the year 1945 the production of the Grinding Mill was taken up followed by Rice Huller. Foundry for melting Pig Iron a cupola furnace was installed. In the year 1958, the unit made a new factory, presently situated at Bhaktinagar Station Road and under took the production of Lister type Diesel Engine which were copy of Lister - England. Thereafter, the new products i.e. Deep-well power pumps were developed as like to Myers - USA and manufacturing activity was taken-up. Thereafter two more products were introduced i.e. Trailers & Tankers suitable to be drawn by Tractors for which Central Engineering Works was the first in whole of Gujarat to get the registration for the manufacturing of Trailers & Water Tankers from RTO Department.

In the course of time, the Gear Designing, Cam Designing, Gear Boxes for Transmission, reduction and for marine applications were taken up. From 1984 the company developed Gear Shaper Machine (machine to generate the teeth in the gear blank) a copy of the then Czechoslovakia TOS company was manufacturing.

In the year 1995 the partners separation took place among the brothers of Ratilal Hansraj Gajjar and So Shri Ratilal Hansraj Gajjar became the sole proprietor of the firm M/s Central Engineering Works.

In the year 1999 M/s Central Industries was formed with the partnership of Shri Ratilal Hansraj Gajjar and Smt. Indiraben Ratilal Gajjar. The company engaged in the manufacturing of Huller, Grinding Mills and parts there-off.

In the event of the death of Shri Ratilal Hansraj Gajjar on 12-11-2013 the company went under reformation of inclusion fresh partners from 01-04-2014 having partners

Present activity of the company is the manufacturing of Hullers, Stoneless Grinding Mills, Domestic type Grinding Mills ETC.

The present market net work is in the whole of Gujarat, parts of Maharashtra, M.P. and Andhra Pradesh.

Presently the business is run by Shri Sanilbhai R. Gajjar the executive partner.
